A camlock joint has two halves: a grooved male adapter and a female coupler with cam arms. Closing the arms drives cams into the groove and presses the adapter onto a gasket in the coupler. Cast aluminium alloy keeps the fittings light enough to handle all day, which is why contractors and tanker crews prefer it for hoses that are moved often. Aluminium also resists sparking better than steel, though earth bonding is still needed for fuels.
Hamza Fasteners stocks the full aluminium range: adapters A, E and F, couplers B, C and D, and DC and DP dust caps, in BSP or NPT threads. Use them for water, dewatering, diesel, oils and dry air.
