The buttweld 180° return bend turns a line back on itself, with the two ends side by side at a centre-to-centre distance of three times the nominal size. One fitting replaces two 90° elbows and their weld, which saves time and gives a smoother path. Ends are bevelled for butt welding and the fitting carries the same rating as matching pipe.
We supply 180° LR returns from 1" to 8" in SCH 40 and SCH 80. They are used in fired heater and tank heating coils, heat exchanger and cooling loops, expansion loops, and in fabricated handrails and frames. Short radius returns are available on request.
