The stainless steel male x female union works like a standard union, with a nut drawing two seats together, but one end carries a male thread. It can therefore screw straight into a female port on a valve, pump or meter, while the other end takes the pipe. The result is a removable joint with one fewer nipple, which shortens assemblies around equipment.
We stock male x female unions from 1/4" to 2" in SS 304 and SS 316, BSP or NPT. They are a favourite on water heater and pump connections, dosing pumps, instrument skids and boat systems.
