A needle valve regulates flow with a long, tapered stem tip that seats in a small orifice. Many turns of the fine-threaded stem are needed to open it fully, so flow can be set very precisely and the valve closes tightly with modest torque. Forged SS 316 bodies with PTFE or graphite packing handle the high pressures of hydraulic, gas and instrument systems, and a back-seating stem stops the stem being unscrewed under pressure.
Hamza Fasteners supplies SS 316 needle valves from 1/4" to 1" NPT, female x female and male x female, in straight and angle patterns, generally rated to 6000 PSI at ambient temperature. They are used for pressure gauge isolation, transmitter root valves, sampling points, gas regulation and hydraulic test benches. Multi-valve manifolds can be sourced on request.
