The female NPT crowfoot combines a two-lug claw head with an internal NPT tapered pipe thread. It fits directly onto male threaded outlets: compressor service valves, pipe nipples on air manifolds and the male inlets on some breakers and drills. Thread sealing is done with PTFE tape or paste on the male thread, while the face seal in the claw head handles the quick-connect joint.
