What is a SS316 split pin?
A SS316 split pin (cotter pin) is a stainless steel 316 folded wire pin pushed through a drilled hole and bent open to lock an assembly — for example, to stop a castle nut backing off or a clevis pin sliding out. It is made to DIN 94 in diameters Ø1.6 to Ø10 mm.
Do you only supply one size of split pin?
No. The datasheet shows representative sizes for reference. We supply the full range Ø1.6–Ø10 mm (larger) in all lengths, in stainless steel 316, stainless and brass, plus R-clips and hitch pins. Send your requirement for availability and price.
What is a split pin used for?
Split pins are safety locking devices — used with castle/slotted nuts, clevis pins, shafts, towing pins and linkages to prevent parts from rotating loose or falling out.
What sizes and finishes are available?
Standard stock is Ø1.6 to Ø10 mm in a range of lengths, bright / passivated finish. Stainless steel and brass split pins are available on request.
How much does a SS316 split pin cost?
Price depends on size and quantity. We offer competitive per-pack and bulk pricing. Request a quote for the best split pin price in your city.
