A G.I. reducing tee keeps the run at main line size while the branch is reduced, for example 1 inch by 1 inch by 1/2 inch. Ordering is run x run x branch. It replaces an equal tee plus reducing bush, removing a threaded joint and the step that a bush creates in the waterway. Cast in malleable iron and hot-dip galvanised, it suits water, air and low pressure gas distribution.
