A grooved equal tee splits or combines flow with all three outlets the same size. It is the standard fitting for full-size branches off fire mains, chilled water headers and pump manifolds.

The equal tee has three grooved outlets of the same nominal size, so the branch carries the full bore of the run. It is cast in ductile iron with a short centre-to-end, making it compact enough for headers where several tees sit close together. Each outlet takes a standard grooved coupling, so headers can be pre-assembled at ground level and lifted into place.
