PVC layflat hose has a PVC tube and cover with a woven polyester reinforcement. Because it has no helix, it collapses flat when empty, making long lengths easy to roll, carry and store. Under pump pressure it opens to full bore. It must never be used on the suction side of a pump, as it will collapse under vacuum, so pair it with a reinforced suction hose on the inlet.
Hamza Fasteners stocks layflat hose from 1" to 6" in long rolls, cut to length on request. It is widely used for site dewatering, tank and pool emptying, agricultural irrigation and washdown. Couplings, hose tails and clamps are available to make up lengths. After use, drain the hose and roll it from the far end so trapped water is pushed out.
