The stainless steel cross has four equal female ports set at 90° to each other. It is the compact way to bring two branches off a main line at one point, or to build a manifold with a gauge on one side and a drain on the other. Because four joints meet in one casting, the body is heavier than a tee and the ports are cast square so pipes line up without strain.
Hamza Fasteners stocks crosses in SS 304 and SS 316 from 1/4" to 2", with larger sizes on enquiry. They are common on sample and instrument manifolds, chemical injection points and marine pump sets.
