A cast steel gate valve to API 600 is the standard heavy-duty isolation valve for refinery, petrochemical and utility pipework. The flexible wedge seals between two seat rings, adapting slightly to pipe loads and thermal movement so it does not jam. The outside screw and yoke design keeps the stem threads out of the process fluid, and the rising stem shows at a glance whether the valve is open or shut.
Hamza Fasteners supplies API 600 gate valves in WCB from 2" to 12" in Class 150 and 300, with 13% chromium trim, face-to-face to ASME B16.10 and RF flanges to ASME B16.5.
