This page covers two of the most-used carbon steel threaded fittings: the elbow, which turns the line through 90° or 45°, and the full coupling, which joins two pipes in a straight run. Both are forged from ASTM A105 steel and threaded female. The forged body is stronger than malleable iron, so the fittings suit higher pressures, hot service and vibrating equipment.
We supply elbows and couplings from 1/4" to 4" in 2000 lb and 3000 lb classes with NPT or BSP threads. Half couplings for weld-on branches are also available. They are used on steam and condensate lines, compressor and air receiver pipework, fuel oil systems and plant utilities. Threads are cut clean and true.
