The buttweld 90° elbow is welded directly to pipe ends, so the joint has the same bore and strength as the pipe with nothing to restrict flow. Long radius elbows have a centreline radius of 1.5 times the nominal size, which keeps pressure drop low. Seamless construction suits pressure duty. Ends are bevelled at 37.5° to ASME B16.25 ready for a full-penetration weld.
We stock 90° LR elbows from 1" to 8" in SCH 40 and SCH 80 to match our M.S. pipe. They are used on fire mains, chilled water, process water, compressed air and oil lines.
