A two-part threaded hose coupling: a male half and a female half, each with a hose shank, that screw together to join two hoses or connect hose to a fitting. It allows hose lengths to be connected and separated without cutting.

A male and female hose coupling joins two hoses with a threaded union. The male half has an external thread and a hose shank, and the female half carries a swivel nut on its own shank with a sealing washer inside. Because the nut swivels, neither hose has to be twisted as the coupling is made up. This lets standard hose lengths be connected end to end or to pumps and tanks, and quickly separated for storage or replacement.
