A buttweld tee provides a 90° branch the same size as the run, with all three ends bevelled for butt welding. Unlike cutting a hole and welding a stub, a formed tee carries extra metal at the crotch to reinforce the branch, and its pressure rating matches straight pipe of the same schedule. The joint is full bore, with no internal step.
We supply equal tees from 1" to 8" in SCH 40 and SCH 80. They are used on fire and sprinkler headers, chilled water distribution, pump manifolds, compressed air rings and process plant.
