G.I. 45° Elbow (Galvanised Malleable Iron Threaded)

A G.I. 45 degree elbow turns a threaded pipe through half a right angle. Two 45s and a short nipple make a neat offset to clear an obstruction, and the gentler turn gives lower friction loss than a 90, which helps on long pump lines and drains where flow and debris movement matter. Like other G.I. fittings it is malleable iron with a hot-dip zinc coating and parallel female threads to suit taper pipe threads.
