The female coupler is the active half of a camlock joint: it carries the cam arms and the sealing gasket. Our aluminium couplers come in three back-end styles, male thread, hose shank or female thread, to suit pipe or hose.

Every camlock connection needs one female coupler. Its socket accepts the grooved male adapter, and two cam arms on pivot pins swing down to pull the adapter onto a gasket seated inside. Because the coupler holds both the seal and the moving parts, it is the half that wears; keeping the coupler on the hose end rather than the fixed equipment makes replacement easier.
Hamza Fasteners keeps aluminium couplers in Type B (male thread), Type C (hose shank) and Type D (female thread) from 1/2" to 6".
