Threaded rod to DIN 975, also called studding or all-thread, is supplied in 1 m and 3 m lengths and cut to size. It is the standard hanger for ductwork, cable tray and pipe supports, and is used with resin to make chemical anchors. Stud bolts are cut and chamfered to a set length. For flanged pipework the usual choice is ASTM A193 grade B7 alloy steel studs with two A194 2H heavy hex nuts, sized to the flange class and bolt count.
