A uPVC 90° elbow for drainage is moulded with a smooth inside radius so solids keep moving round the bend. It joins pipe by solvent cement in each socket. Elbows with an access door let a drain rod or camera into the line, which is why consultants often call for them at the base of stacks and at changes of direction that are hard to reach later.
Hamza Fasteners stocks drainage elbows from 32 mm waste size to 160 mm, with 45° bends available for gentler turns. They match our uPVC drainage pipe and tees for a complete above-ground system. At the base of a soil stack, a long-radius bend or two 45s is often preferred, as a tight 90 there is a common blockage point. Elbows are also used on vent pipes and rainwater downpipes.
