A lever butterfly valve isolates a line with a disc that rotates a quarter turn inside a resilient rubber seat. The lever sits on a notched plate, usually with ten positions, so the disc can be locked fully open, fully closed or part open for rough flow balancing. The wafer body is clamped between two pipe flanges by long studs, so it is much shorter and lighter than a gate valve of the same size.
Hamza Fasteners supplies lever butterfly valves from DN50 to DN200 in ductile iron with EPDM seats for water and HVAC, NBR seats for oils, and ductile iron or stainless discs.
