A threaded 45° branch outlet combines a contoured, bevelled base that welds to the header with an NPT threaded branch angled at 45 degrees. The angle is useful for thermowells and sample probes that must face into the flow, for sloped drains and for insertion of injection quills. Like other lateral outlets, it is made to manufacturer standard following MSS SP-97 reinforcement principles, with threads to ASME B1.20.1.
Hamza Fasteners supplies threaded 45° laterals in A105, class 3000 and 6000, for branch threads from 1/4 to 2 inch. They are specified by instrumentation and process engineers on hydrocarbon, steam and water headers. As each lateral is shaped for one header size, please send the run size and schedule with the branch size to our Dubai office. Socket weld and butt weld laterals are also offered.
