A Y-pattern pipeline strainer that traps scale, sand and debris in a removable stainless steel screen before it can damage pumps, control valves, meters and heat exchangers. The angled screen leg is cleaned through a blow-off cap without removing the body.

A Y-type strainer has a straight-through body with an angled leg that holds a cylindrical stainless steel screen. Fluid enters the screen from the inside, debris collects at the bottom of the leg, and clean fluid passes out through the screen wall. A cap or blow-off plug at the end of the leg allows the screen to be removed for cleaning or flushed through a drain valve. The compact shape works in horizontal lines and in vertical downward flow.
